Position Summary
The Working Foreman is a key leadership role on-site, combining field-level supervision with hands-on labor. This role ensures projects stay on track, the crew stays motivated, and the work meets Sovereignty Construction’s high standards. You’ll wear many hats—from managing schedules to picking up tools—but your primary mission is making sure things get done safely, efficiently, and with pride.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and work alongside laborers, carpenters, and subcontractors on various residential and light commercial construction projects.
- Coordinate daily jobsite activities and assign tasks according to project schedule and skillsets.
- Ensure jobsite safety, cleanliness, and compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Act as the main point of contact for project updates, reporting directly to the Project Manager or Owners.
- Read and interpret blueprints, scopes of work, and material take-offs.
- Assist in material planning, pickups, and deliveries when necessary.
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and provide real-time solutions.
- Maintain a productive and positive team culture, coaching team members when needed.
- Keep daily logs, site photos, and status reports through the company’s preferred systems (WhatsApp Trello).
- Ensure quality control throughout each phase of construction.
Qualifications
- 5 years of hands-on construction experience (framing, drywall, foundations, etc.)
- 2 years in a leadership or foreman role
- Willing to travel for extended periods to remote locations
- Ability to lead by example—showing up on time, working hard, and setting the tone
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with tools, equipment, and light machinery
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in both rural and remote areas
- A positive attitude and problem solver
Nice to Have
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Familiarity with small business or start-up environments

Compensation:
$32–$43/hr. depending on experience, with room to grow as the company expands. Company truck may be provided after probation period
