Job Overview
The Music Director plays a pivotal role in leading and enhancing the musical experience within our organization. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement music programs that align with the organization's mission and values.
- Lead rehearsals and direct musical performances, ensuring a high standard of quality.
- Provide Christian counseling and bereavement support to individuals and families as needed.
- Mentor musicians of all skill levels, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration.
- Plan and coordinate events that incorporate music, enhancing community engagement.
- Offer crisis intervention and conflict management support during challenging situations.
- Educate participants on music theory, techniques, and the spiritual significance of music in worship.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate music into various organizational activities.
Currently, we are looking for one (1) PT Catholic Director of Music
*Position is contingent upon contract award
Work Hours/Days: Approximately 10-12 hours per week

Position Description:
· The PT Catholic Director of Music will support the Catholic congregation weekly.
· Must provide a resume and letter of commitment.
· Five years of experience leading church music and ensembles
· Experience in Contemporary, Catholic, Pentecostal, traditional, hymnic, choral, contemporary Christian, and liturgical musical trends
· The Music Director shall possess experience as a music director in religious
worship settings, with at least five years of experience playing piano or musical instruments appropriate at public worship services, working with and directing small musical ensembles and choirs.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and guiding others.
- Experience in hospice care or similar environments is beneficial.
- Proficiency in event planning to create impactful musical experiences.
- Excellent communication skills for effective counseling and support.
- Ability to manage crises with compassion and professionalism.
- Knowledge of conflict management strategies to maintain a harmonious environment.
- A deep understanding of the role of music in spiritual contexts, particularly within Christian settings.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $49,362.00 - $57,194.00 per year
