Manage all day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inventory, receiving, picking, packing, movement of goods throughout the warehouse and outgoing shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee, train and develop warehouse team to provide best-in-class service to customers and efficient distribution processes
- Manage shipping and delivery of product to big box retailers, online retailers and flag dealers
- Responsible for understanding and complying with routing guides and labeling
- Responsible for shipping accuracy and the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures
- Meet and exceed customer requirements in regards to vendor scorecard items, including On-Time Delivery, Order Fulfillment Rates, ASN Timeliness and Accuracy
- Coordinate with freight and LTL providers on shipping and receiving schedules
- Manage daily plan to exceed expectations for productivity
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe warehouse environment
- Ensure all employees are trained and certified on the safe and effective use of all warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts
- Assist in hiring, training and evaluating employees to work productively with a high sense of professionalism, urgency and positive customer service attitude
- Foster a productive, positive working environment with open communication
Education and Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of warehouse management experience within a high-volume distribution center
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Experience with Shipping/Warehouse Management Software implementations and utilization
- Experience managing and motivating a team of employees
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on deadlines and objectives
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Desire and ability to continuously review and improve processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel and Word. JD Edwards experience is a plus
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Available to work extended hours as necessary during busy season
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
