Position Title : Quality Assurance Manager
Reports To : VP of Operations
Position Location : Hazelhurst, GA
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee all aspects of company's QA department
- Responsible for all aspects of document control including the creation and revision of documentation, processes, and standards.
- Maintain an internal audit system
- Manage customer audits, supplier audits, and participate in customer / supplier visits
- Responsible for overall supplier quality
- Approve and maintain visual inspection standards, physical testing specifications, and customer specific requirements
- Manage certification and calibration of ASTM testing equipment for the plant
- Monitor quality reporting data, returns / allowances as a percentage of sales, and customer scorecard ratings
- Manage Certificate of Analysis (COA) process for incoming raw materials and finished goods
- Assist process engineers with FMEA and Control Plan maintenance
- Respond to customer concerns including authorization of credit requests or returns
- Assist in root cause analysis and develop corrective action strategies for internal and customer related quality issues
