Description
SPAARK is seeking a Emergency Operations Specialist to join the United States Department of Housing and Urban Developments (HUD) location in Washington, DC. The Emergency Operations Specialist conducts complex analyses and devises procedural and technical improvements to increase efficiency and decrease risk to national security.
- Communicating emergency incident, event, and threat information in briefings and written products to inform various levels of staff
- Determining the significance of emergency incidents, events, and threats and following reporting guidelines
- Presenting findings and recommendations, both orally and in writing to internal and external audiences
- Developing solutions to resolve program issues or changing requirements
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Top Secret/SCI Clearance required.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Completed IS-700 NIMS, an Introduction
- Completed ICS-100, Introduction to the Incident Command System
- Completed IS-2200, Basic Emergency Operations Center Functions
Preferred Candidates have completed Additional Coursework:
- IS-800 National Response Framework (NRF), an Introduction
- G-191, Incident Command System/Emergency Operations Center Interface
- G-775, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Management and Operations
- IS-706 NIMS, Interstate Mutual Aid, an Introduction
- E/L/G 2300, Intermediate Emergency Operations Center Functions
- IS-701, NIMS Multiagency Coordination System (MACS) Course
