SPAARK, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Intelligence Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as an expert intelligence analyst, providing holistic and risk-based approaches to deterring, detecting, and mitigating insider threats and vulnerabilities to the Departments/Agencies and U.S. national security.
JOB DUTIES/FUNCTIONS
- Support and collaborate on the implementation of the Insider Threat Program.
- Recommend strategies to prevent potential insider threat behavior or incidents.
- Monitor existing policies and suggest modifications to enhance program capabilities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, industry experts, and internal/external peers to enhance behavioral models and detection of insider threat potential risk indicators.
- Create roadmaps, SOPs, and Policy documentation for ongoing improvement of the Insider Threat Program.
- Develop a training curriculum for Insider Threat Program team members and conduct awareness training
- Develop and perform processes for alert analysis, reporting, response, and remediation in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Conduct analytical and critical thinking to review facts, make accurate observations, and provide recommendations/reporting.
- Provide expert guidance on security issues affecting processes exploitable by insiders.
- Build and implement processes to detect high-risk insider activities.
- Provide expert analysis on all intelligence matters, including intelligence processes, support requirements, technical aspects of systems, and operational methodologies.
- Perform analysis, conduct research, and leverage User Activity Monitoring (UAM) tools to detect anomalous intelligence and/or insider activities and behaviors.
- Manage technical activities related to insider risk, supporting response and management of significant incidents and special security events across the country.
- Prepare comprehensive intelligence products.
- Present findings and recommendations, both orally and in writing, to internal and external audiences.
- Develop solutions to resolve program issues or adapt to changing requirements.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of (5) years of experience in intelligence analysis, including providing risk-based approaches to insider threat mitigation.
- Conducting research and utilizing various technical and non-technical data sources.
- Managing insider risk response and security events.
- Preparing detailed intelligence reports.
- Presenting intelligence findings effectively.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Project, Excel,PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Additional experience in intelligence-related fields (8-10 years)
- Experience working with UAM / UEBA solutions including alert triage, analysis, escalations, and investigations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in dynamic, high-pressure situations.
