SSI is seeking a Ground Segment Management Systems Engineer (PWSA) to support our customer in Chantilly, VA.

SSI is seeking a Ground Segment Management Systems Engineer (PWSA) to support our customer in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include:
- Systems engineer position with a focus on schedule and risk management
- Reviews and coordinates ground schedules with prime ground segment contractors, the government, and other contractors as needed
- Coordinate inputs, develops, and provides ground segment updates to maintain a government-specific IMS
- Identify scheduling conflicts, critical paths, schedule risks, and divergences; present findings to Sr. Leadership
- Be cognizant of internal developments to inform scheduling updates
- Develop internal briefing material as directed by the government team
- Develop external-facing products (briefings, emails, etc.) with high standards and attention to detail
- Manage risk process for the PWSA Ground Segment
- Resolve complex and multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of the project/program
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (i.e. Government, Military, SETA, FFRDC, UARC, & Industry) and external stakeholders
- Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience
- 5 years of Project Management experience
- Experience developing integrated master schedules with Microsoft Project
- Prior experience supporting space system development or the Department of Defense
- Hands-on proficiency using presentation development tools, principally PowerPoint
- Excellent written and visual communication skills
- Creative thinking skills
- Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced organization
- TS Clearance required. Must be able to obtain/maintain SCI
- Graduate degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) or related discipline
