What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer Tooling position at SpaceX?

Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. MECHANICAL ENGINEER (TOOLING) We are looking for incredible engineers to define a way to develop / build our rockets and spacecraft - a mission critical task. The Mechanical Engineer will own tooling from conceptualization through implementation. RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design and perform analysis for development and production equipment that will support all products that SpaceX produces (projects include Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, F9R, Cargo Dragon, and Crew Dragon)
- Maintain ownership of a few unique projects in a dynamic environment (projects will vary in size and scale). Some examples include : rocket structure and propulsion component manipulation equipment, air bearing systems, robotic drilling solutions, friction stir weld machines, roadway transportation systems, static and dynamic fixturing, etc.
- Develop robust plans to ensure that our equipment and machine capacity is developed in line with volume production requirements
- Resolve build discrepancies and interface with the quality team to implement cost effective solutions
