As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
About the Role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have a key role in supporting the design, analysis, component specification, integration and commissioning of facilities required for 21st century energetic material and Solid Rocket Motor manufacturing. You will join a multi-disciplinary team responsible for all aspects of requirement verifications, upgrade and anomaly resolution, design, analysis, test, and deployment of hardware and control sub-systems. You'll know you're successful in this role when you've identified blockers, guided processes to address anomalies and performance shortfalls, verified requirements are satisfied and you've delivered on the agreed upon master schedule while adhering to environmental and safety best practices. To thrive in this role, you must have demonstrated success in mechanical design, analysis, and test with an aptitude for hands-on definition of industrial CONOPS and commissioning of complex industrial/chemical systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Design/Analysis/Manufacture and Test of energetic materials or chemical processing facilities
Design/Analysis/Manufacture and Test of custom tooling and fixtures
Experience scoping pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, precision flow meters, etc.
5 years' experience with Solidworks CAD and PDM or equivalent
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers
Analysis skills from notebook level to advanced simulation capturing stress, fluid flow, thermal and/or electrical power
Demonstrated electro/mechanical hands-on assembly and trouble-shooting aptitude
Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
