Job Summary
The HRBP will be responsible for providing a wide range of Human Resources support and guidance. The Human Resources Business Partner will perform both administrative and tactical duties, including HRIS entry and reporting, benefits and leave for the Southern/Southeast Region, compliance and/or audit activities, mid-level employee relations, orientation and onboarding for the Southern/Southeast Region, and wellness and rewards & recognition programs, along with supporting other human resources initiatives and providing support and back-up to the Human Resources Team based out of Dubuque, Iowa.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Assists with supporting various human resources programs for the Southern/Southeast Region of Spahn and Rose, including but not limited to classification, benefits, leave, investigations, discipline recommendation and tracking, rewards & recognition and wellness programs
· Assists in the research, development and implementation of processes and procedures, along with recommendations on developing policies
· Aids in effective, thorough, and objective investigations to provide recommendation for appropriate action and resolution
· Works with supervisor/manager to formulate appropriate disciplinary measure and assists with conducting employee disciplinary meetings
· Assists with filing necessary responses to terminations and unemployment inquiries
· Assists with recruiting for the Southern/Southeast Region, including sourcing candidates, working with agencies, developing programs to attract talent and works with hiring manager to identify and pursue viable candidates
· Collaborates with Human Resources Generalist and Human Resource Supervisor on employee benefit plans, including well-being programs. Provides education to employees to provide maximum utilization, monitors and tracks participation, and participates in benefit identification and renewals
· Acts as first line of questioning for payroll inquiries and works with human resources/finance to provide resolution
· Helps maintain employee files in paper or electronic format, in conjunction with the HRIS ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality
· Facilitates onboarding and orientation for new Southern/Southeast Region employees, including but not limited to employment verification
· Supports middle management with personnel guidance and consultation
· Assists in analyzing human resources processes and system performance metrics and assists with resolving application issues with vendors and other staff
· Assists in identifying human resources trends and concerns; assists in compiling data analysis reports
· Provides effective in person and written communication to employees
· Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
· Bachelor degree in Human Resources or similar degree of study or Associates Degree with 4 years of experience required
· Minimum of three years progressive human resources experience required
· Designation of PHR or SRHM-CP preferred
· Strong knowledge of Human Resources practices in multiple of the following areas preferred: recruitment, payroll, employee relations, or employee retention and engagement
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
· Exemplary attention to detail is required
· High level of professionalism and discretion is required
· Must be local or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL
