TITLE : SALES REPRESENTATIVE - FLORIDA
Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Lake City, Key Areas)
DEPARTMENT : MEDICAL SALES & MARKETING
REPORTS TO : REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

BASIC FUNCTIONS :
Within the assigned geographic region, maintain and increase the sales of medical products, meet individual sales objectives, attend assigned trade and product shows, and work with distributor representatives. Be responsible for selling to and servicing facilities in the territory, i.e. acute, long-term, rehabilitation, hospice, homecare, etc.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
1. Develop an annual territory sales plan and provide quarterly updates to the Region Manager.
2. Develop, maintain and expand customer base, follow up on leads and maintain key customer relationships. To accomplish this, the following departments are point-of-call :
- Materials Management : Purchasing Agent, Buyer. Ask to be included on Bid and Quotation List.
- Nursing : WOCN, Director of Nursing, ADON, Treatment Nurse, Gerontology, Oncology, Education, Nurse Managers, Diabetic Educators, Staff Development, ICU, CCU, OR and ER Nursing, etc.
- Therapy : Physical, Occupational
- Environmental Services : Housekeeping, Maintenance, Bio-Med
- Transport Service
- Discharge Planning : case management
3. Meet or exceed sales objectives to achieve the established sales plan.
4. Ensure that the customer receives appropriate samples and literature.
5. Provide in-service education and training to all customers.
6. Assist the Marketing Department by providing data with regard to new products, trends,
pricing, competitive information and new market opportunities.
7. Participate in clinical programs and workshops within your territory as assigned.
8. Support the Quality Policy, Quality System, and follow established procedures.
9. Attend regional and national sales meetings as scheduled.
10. Follow safety rules to protect yourself and company equipment.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
12. Work with all of our national, regional and local distributors.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS :
General physical demands described here are representative of those that may be required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Individuals may sit or stand as needed. Position may require walking and / or climbing stairs periodically throughout the day, reaching above shoulder heights; below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, boxes, etc. on occasion. Proper lifting techniques are required.
Primary environment : ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and fully enclosed shoes (no open toe or heel) are required
Position may require ability to organize and facilitate the moving and set up of hospital bed frames and surfaces. This includes lifting up to 50 pounds, rolling, taking beds on and off the dollies and loading and unloading from transport vehicle.
