Job Summary
The Technical Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining strong customer relationships by offering expert-level technical guidance, support, and solutions. This role serves as a vital link between customers, the sales team, and internal departments to ensure accurate proposals, efficient problem-solving, and effective product application. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Span Tech products and material handling concepts, as well as strong communication and organizational skills.
This position collaborates cross-functionally to create initial layouts for quotes, provide CAD support, and assist in developing tailored solutions that meet customer requirements. The role also includes site visits, technical documentation, and participation in trade shows.

Collaborate with sales, engineering, and customers to provide technical support during the quoting and proposal process.

Demonstrate strong product knowledge of Span Tech systems and apply material handling principles to develop optimal solutions for customer needs.

Assist the sales team in resolving complex customer challenges in a timely and efficient manner.

Review and interpret customer requirements and ensure product designs meet specifications.

Prepare and process quotes in compliance with company sales policies and procedures.

Create and provide CAD drawings to support customer proposals and layouts.

Conduct site visits to gather information, document requirements, and support future project planning.

Generate initial bill of materials (BOM) and component lists for both mechanical and electrical systems.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned customer accounts and document all communications and interactions.

Leverage industry expertise and creativity to design, evaluate, and present alternative system solutions.

Assist with proposal documentation to ensure smooth transition into the detailed design and production phases.

Support product testing efforts in collaboration with the sales team.

Participate in trade shows and industry events as a company representative.

Entertain clients and prospects as needed to support relationship-building and sales objectives.

Salary : $48,000 - $64,000
