Middle School Spanish Tutor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Tutor to help our 7th grade student. The location would be at the Stamford Ferguson Library. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood education and experience working with children in various capacities. This role involves providing personalized tutoring sessions to enhance students' understanding of Spanish. The Tutor will be responsible for developing engaging lesson plans tailored to our student needs and ensuring a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions.
• Develop customized lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles of the student.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material.
• Foster an encouraging environment that promotes confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
• Collaborate with parents to support students' academic goals.
• Provide feedback on student performance and suggest areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children in education settings.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and effective teaching strategies.
• Proficiency in Spanish; knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage students effectively.
• Strong organizational skills.
• A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student success.
