St. Luke's School, a secular, college-preparatory day school serving grades 5 through 12 in New Canaan, Connecticut, seeks a full-time teacher of Spanish and French to join its award-winning World Language (WL) Department. The St. Luke's WL team includes 6 Spanish teachers, 4 French teachers, and 3 Mandarin teachers. The WL program is known regionally and nationally for its innovations, use of cutting-edge technology, and total immersion modern language classes. Since 2015, the St. Luke's French program is the only school in the USA to have been consistently awarded the status of "AATF Exemplary French Program with Distinction": the highest rank of French programs nationally.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Teach full-time load of 4 classes, including 3 Upper School Spanish classes and 1 French class (either in the Middle or Upper School, TBD)
- Spanish classes' levels will likely be beginner to intermediate, and French will be beginner
- Participate in an after-school activity for three seasons (athletic coaching or debate preferred)
- Serve as co-advisor for a group of 6 to 8 students
- Assist with supervisory duties, such as study hall proctoring, lunchroom supervision, and chaperoning events.
