Programmers at Sparc Engineers will be heavily involved with manufacturing prototype parts for INDYCAR and NASCAR teams.
Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and programming, with the ability to create precise and efficient programs for various machining operations. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning machines, and other CNC equipment.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine specifications and tooling requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in production.
- Conduct tests and adjustments on CNC machinery to achieve desired specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes and resolve any programming issues.
- Maintain documentation of all programming changes and updates for future reference.
- Train operators on the proper use of CNC equipment and programming techniques.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols while operating machinery.
Experience
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
- Strong knowledge of tooling, geometry, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software for creating and modifying designs.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Previous experience working with milling machines is preferred.
