CNC Programmer Job Description

At Sparc Engineers, we believe in pushing the boundaries of manufacturing. Located deep in the heart of the Orthopedic Capital, our contract manufacturing focus is on motorsports and aerospace. Programmers at Sparc Engineers will be heavily involved with manufacturing prototype parts for INDYCAR and NASCAR teams.

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and programming, with the ability to create precise and efficient programs for various machining operations. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning machines, and other CNC equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine specifications and tooling requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in production.
  • Conduct tests and adjustments on CNC machinery to achieve desired specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes and resolve any programming issues.
  • Maintain documentation of all programming changes and updates for future reference.
  • Train operators on the proper use of CNC equipment and programming techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols while operating machinery.

Experience

  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, geometry, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software for creating and modifying designs.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Previous experience working with milling machines is preferred.
