Engineer
AMC MSM, a division of Patrick Industries, is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our growing team in Elkhart, Indiana. This role provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a team of skilled professionals while contributing technical expertise to enhance manufacturing processes and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze job orders, technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compatibility with manufacturing processes, including material selection, tolerances, and machining parameters.
- Develop and modify engineering designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to meet customer and production requirements.
- Evaluate and validate CNC programming, ensuring compliance with engineering models and industry standards.
- Optimize manufacturing efficiency by making necessary adjustments to programs and machine operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering, to implement design modifications and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and machining issues, providing technical solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of engineering changes, process improvements, and technical specifications.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering documentation interpretation.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and material properties.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, including G&M code, is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
