Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hotel Maintenance/House Person to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s public spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. This includes maintaining the pool, build HVAC systems, parking lot, and performing minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, and painting. You will also conduct preventative maintenance for our 88 guest rooms and exterior of the property ensuring guest satisfaction, safety and cleanliness are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of the pool, HVAC systems, and parking lots. Address any operational issues promptly.
- Repairs: Handle minor electrical, plumbing, and painting repairs to maintain the functionality and aesthetic of the property.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine preventative maintenance to avoid potential issues and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
- Cleanliness: Maintain the interior and exterior of the hotel, ensuring common areas, guest amenities, and outdoor spaces are tidy, well-kept, and presentable.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with guests and staff, addressing maintenance-related inquiries or concerns with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance, hospitality, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with pool maintenance and safety standards is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment, and perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, bending, and climbing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
