Spark Car Wash is offering an exciting internship opportunity to contribute to our growing business. As our Accounting Intern, you'll play a vital role in supporting our financial operations, gaining exposure to key accounting processes, and working closely with our Controller. This is a fantastic chance to learn practical skills, build your professional network, and see the inner workings of a dynamic company.
What You'll Do:
- Support Accounts Payable (AP): Collaborate with our AP team and internal management by assisting with invoice coding, tracking approvals, and ensuring timely payments.
- Reconcile Vendor Statements: Take ownership of reconciling key vendor statements with our internal records to ensure accuracy/alignment of our books.
- Assist with Journal Entries: Learn the fundamentals of journal entry preparation under the guidance of the Controller.
- Conduct Account Analysis: Gain experience in analyzing balance sheet accounts such as deposits, prepaid expenses, and certain cash accounts.
- Enhance Fixed Asset Management: Work directly with the Controller to transition our Fixed Asset Roll Forward to a more efficient monthly format and maintain this crucial file.
- Contribute to Month-End Close: Assist with ad-hoc reviews of our month-end closing procedures and participate in special projects to gain a broader understanding of financial reporting.
Requirements
What You'll Bring:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
