Position Summary :

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing all corporate-wide finance and accounting systems and resources while providing cross-functional leadership to ensure the company’s fiscal and operational success. Reporting to the Corporate Executive Committee and managing three direct reports, the CFO plays a pivotal role in both strategic and tactical decision-making, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving financial performance.

Position Responsibilities :

Manage Finance, Accounting, and Purchasing functions.

Provide strategic finance expertise for tactical and business initiatives.

Utilize ERP data and forward-looking models to enhance financial insight and visibility.

Set and monitor financial and performance goals for finance departments.

Support special projects through financial analysis and planning.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory financial laws and guidelines.

Mitigate risk and safeguard corporate / financial assets through proper management programs.

Report on GAAP compliance, accounting functions, budget management, cost analysis, and forecasting.

Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure adequate cash flow.

Prepare and oversee reports summarizing business activities, including financial statements, budgets, and KPIs.

Represent the company with financial institutions, CPAs, attorneys, and business stakeholders.

Lead, train, and promote efficient operations within the Finance and Accounting teams.

Position Requirements :

15 years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial industries.

Experience working in privately held or family-owned businesses.

Senior-level finance experience managing financial operations of $100M annual sales.

Hands-on experience with financial and accounting reporting systems, including ERP implementation (Epicor preferred).

Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, inventory management, WIP accounting, and BOM.

Proven ability in budgeting, cost control, and financial principles, including GAAP.

Strong work ethic with excellent problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.

Experience in financial management of labor, operational planning, and banking relationships.

Successful history of building and leading strong Finance and Accounting teams.

Education Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Required).

MBA (Preferred).

CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification with practical experience (Preferred).
