We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or issues that require attention.
- Carry out floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
- Engage in commercial cleaning tasks, including restroom sanitation and waste disposal.
- Support residential painting efforts when required, contributing to the upkeep of facilities.
- Maintain an organized supply inventory and ensure cleaning equipment is in good working condition.
- Serve as a porter by assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
