About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the movement, storage, and inventory management of materials within our facility. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient operations, supporting production, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through tracking systems and manual counts.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations to optimize workflow.
- Supply production areas with necessary materials and remove finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse/workspace.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in material handling, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
