HR Generalist
Location : Indianapolis, IN
Schedule : Onsite / Hybrid - 50% travel in the Indianapolis region and some travel out of state.
Our client, a well-established company in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team. This role will focus on key HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities & Capabilities :
Training & Talent Management : Manage online learning platforms, coordinate virtual and in-person training, and track performance reviews & employee engagement.
HR Compliance & Documentation : Handle unemployment claims, employment verifications, leave of absences, and end-of-employment documentation.
Employee Engagement : Organize, analyze, and communicate Employee Lifecycle Engagement Surveys, providing insights to improve retention & morale.
Communication & Problem-Solving : Escalate concerns, respond with urgency, and provide solutions to HR-related challenges.
Serve as a key resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Manage employee relations, providing guidance to managers and employees to foster a positive workplace culture.
Oversee benefits administration, including employee enrollment, issue resolution, and open enrollment processes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, updating policies as needed.
Support performance management initiatives, assisting with employee development and coaching programs.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity.
Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and company initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
Experience & Skills :
Minimum 4 years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Customer Service.
Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws (especially Midwestern states).
Experience with HRIS platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
