Job Title: Project Accountant
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Work Schedule: 100% Onsite
Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 base up to 10% bonus

About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Corporate Controller to ensure financial accuracy and project profitability. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze project billing.
Perform monthly profitability analysis.
Track and approve daily expenses.
Manage project documentation.
Handle payroll entry and verification as needed.
Support subcontract and purchase order agreement preparation and distribution.
Review and approve job-related invoices.
Assist in managing accounts receivable alongside the Project Manager and Corporate Controller.
Generate monthly job health reports.
Travel to jobsites as needed (minimal).
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (minimum); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
3 years of experience in accounts payable/receivable or project accounting.
Experience in construction/contracting industry is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in SAGE 300 ERP (required).
Strong experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Familiarity with Procore (preferred).
Strong analytical and predictive analysis skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication.
Accuracy and efficiency in data entry.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Knowledge of union requirements is a plus.
Additional Details
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
Minimal travel to local jobsites required.
