Spartan Emergency Response is seeking a highly skilled procurement professional to join our team. As a buyer III, you will be responsible for identifying and developing supplier and product value stream improvement initiatives with assigned suppliers or commodities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing efforts for commodities, as identified by leadership.
- Work closely with the engineering department to implement VAVE improvements.
- Negotiate contracts with value up to $100k.
- Understand and interpret cost breakdowns of suppliers.
- Apply formal project management principles to work.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Finance, Engineering, or Operations Management is preferred.
- Minimum of four years experience in a professional procurement role with exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes and commodities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills are required for success in this role.
- You should be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and deal effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Salary : $100,000
