Job Description
- The Buyer III position is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing supplier and product value stream improvement initiatives with assigned suppliers or commodities through the effective use and support of various business processes.
- You will lead strategic sourcing efforts for commodities, as identified by leadership, and work closely with the engineering department to implement VAVE improvements.
- Key responsibilities also include negotiating contracts with value up to $100k, understanding and interpreting cost breakdowns of suppliers, and applying formal project management principles to work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Finance, Engineering, or Operations Management is preferred.
- Minimum of four years experience in a professional procurement role with exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes and commodities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills are required for success in this role.
- You should be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and deal effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
