Directs the Company’s Digital Transformation (DT) strategy for services provided by the DT group ranging from digital, ERP and artificial intelligence strategies. The position’s primary role is to understand and incorporate Company priorities into the DT strategic direction, create a baseline aligned to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) best practices, and manage the road map of DT projects. In addition, develops, working hand to hand with operating managers, in the development of Spartan’s advanced technology platform. Encompasses Spartan’s Core Operating Values in daily activities and in the attainment of department strategies and goals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Working knowledge and understanding of various DT technology, ERP systems, technological infrastructure, and supporting applications. Specifically, or similar:
Plex ERP Smart Manufacturing Platform or similar systems
Microsoft Office Applications and Outlook

Public Cloud and Software as a Service deployment and management

Understands the advanced technology and data needs of key Company leaders (finance, plant operations, human resources, facilities, etc.) to identify and recommend areas of opportunity, data integration, current/best practices, process improvement and implementation strategies. Craft DT roadmap aligned with business goals.
Oversee the design, development, integration and maintenance of DT technology during new product introductions, ensuring a smooth transition from prototypes to full-scale manufacturing/use. Manage development, testing and production release of DT applications, include next scaled ERP release.
Mitigates risk appropriately through ongoing vendor analysis, security reviews, performing risk assessments, emergency planning, etc. Creates and maintains Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans documentation and related testing of plans as it relates to DT and Advance Technology used by the Company.
Seeks methods for process optimization, including introduction and managing the Company’s ERP solution, to include improving automation and productivity within the tech team and beyond. Introduces ideas to make the Company create a competitive advantage.
Creates and maintains documentation of all critical processes and standard operating procedures. Keeps accurate records and inventory of Company property and DT assets.
Develops and maintains effective and productive working relationships with user departments, senior managers and vendors. Communicates effectively and regularly (directly and indirectly through staff) to ensure management and staff are informed with appropriate information/updates at the appropriate level for their use and understanding of systems issues.
Participates in the budget forecasting process and manages annual capital budgets. Oversees the purchase and ongoing compliance of all DT software licenses and hardware related DT technology. Contributes to the attainment of department, plant and company goals/objectives
Evaluates supplier performance, identifies and influences areas for supplier improvement.
Ensures all department activities and actions are consistent with Spartan’s Core Operating Values.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supports Company’s succession planning and talent development strategies by taking an active role in:
identifying successor candidates through recruitment and internal talent assessment
evaluating individual and team needs
creating development plans/goals
providing ongoing feedback and mentoring
Manages and develops the DT team in the execution of Spartan technology strategies
Manages team member performance. Develops performance plans and productivity and quality standards/goals. Mentors, trains and develops team members, ensuring a highly trained, skilled and high performance work team that contributes to meeting/exceeding team, site and organizational goals.
Performs management duties, including, hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, counseling, disciplining and rewarding team members. Fosters a positive and engaged work environment.
Communicates directly to team members individual and team goals, performance expectations, obstacles, problems, issues, and successes. Communicates company goals and DT strategies and how team and individual goals/performance fit into these goals/strategies.
Builds and maintains teamwork within team and between other teams in the company. Resolves conflicts between team members and with other teams.
Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
·Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent related work experience
·Master’s of Business Administration, a plus
·5-7 years IT leadership experience, managing process, technical projects and other solution-driven initiatives
·5-7 years in managing functions dealing with information handling, workflow and systems
Experience in ERP implementation and/or upgrade management
Experience in DT technology and implementation
·Experience should include substantial exposure to in-house and shared/outsourced systems, multiple hardware platforms and integrated information systems
Required:
