Quality Auditor 3rd SHIFT (Hannibal, MO location)
Quality Auditors perform quality auditing functions and oversees containment activities or suspect parts that are produced at a die cast machine and finished goods areas. Encompasses Spartan’s Core Operating Values in daily activities which contributes to the attainment of operational and quality metrics/goals and strong team member relations.
Responsibilities
- Audits and inspects all established quality processes, procedures and standards and customer requirements:
- According to internal and external Visual Criteria
- According to internal and external dimensional Criteria (with gauges and other equipment)
- Handles changing daily priorities and works required overtime as needed (with or without advance notice).
- Report any issues that may affect quality to Management.
- Review documentation for improvements and/or changes.
- Perform gauge R&Rs.
- Train team members of quality requirements
- Customer return processing, distribution and communication of customer defects
- Review SPC charting and train as needed
- Initiate Hold/Stop tags and other documented processes pertaining to quality.
- Participates in Quality Management System (QMS) activities, including,
- Maintaining an understanding of the IATF standard and Customer specific requirements to QMS.
- Performing internal auditing and supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Attends and successfully completes required in-house training, which includes completing various stages of training and skill development to ensure current knowledge of customer and job requirements. Utilizes this training to train others.
- Contributes to and supports the existence of a positive work environment through personal involvement by communicating, interacting and behaving in a manner that promotes productive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, customers, vendors and others with whom such relationships are important to the success of company operations.
- Performs other duties and participates in special projects, as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required: High School/GED and 2 years related experience
Preferred: Experience auditing parts to ensure QMS standards and customer requirements are met. Experience running CMM and other types of gauges.
