Facilities, Safety & Fleet Manager

Salary Range : $85,000-$100,000

Reports To : HR Director

Classification : Exempt

Travel Requirement : Regular travel to company locations as needed

The Role

We’re looking for a Multi-State Facilities, Safety & Fleet Manager to oversee OSHA, DOT, and workers' compensation compliance , while managing fleet operations and facility maintenance across multiple locations. This role will be instrumental in driving a proactive, centralized safety and operations strategy while ensuring compliance and efficiency in all aspects of our facilities operations.

This position requires regular travel to company locations across multiple states to conduct inspections, training, audits, and compliance reviews, ensuring consistent safety and operational standards at all sites.

What You’ll Do

Safety & Compliance Leadership

Ensure company-wide compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other safety regulations.

Develop and implement safety policies & training programs to promote a strong safety culture.

Conduct regular safety audits & inspections, identifying and mitigating risks.

Manage workers' compensation claims, including reporting, follow-ups, and coordination with insurance & legal teams.

Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions.

Facilities Management

Oversee maintenance, repairs, and improvements for multi-state locations, working closely with Branch Managers.

Implement preventive maintenance programs to keep facilities and equipment running smoothly.

Develop and manage budgets for facilities and safety programs.

Partner with branch and department managers to address location-specific needs.

Fleet Operations & Management

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and fleet safety standards.

Oversee fleet maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and longevity.

Oversee vehicle inspections, registrations, and compliance requirements.

Train employees on safe driving practices and company fleet policies.

Travel Requirement

  • Regular travel to company locations across multiple states to ensure compliance, conduct facility audits, lead training programs, and support branch managers in implementing safety and maintenance initiatives.
  • Ability to work remotely when not traveling while maintaining strong communication with onsite teams.

What You Bring to the Team – Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, fleet operations, or safety compliance
  • Proven experience in managing OSHA, DOT, and workers' compensation compliance across multi-state locations
  • Experience in a multi-site, operations-focused environment such as manufacturing, logistics, construction, or field service industries is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and influence teams across various departments and locations
  • Ability to pass the company background check
  • Technical & Regulatory Knowledge :

  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT and Workers Comp compliance
  • Experience in managing workers' compensation claims, including reporting, follow-ups, and coordination with insurance providers.
  • Familiarity with risk assessments, hazard mitigation, and accident investigation procedures.
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance best practices, including safety protocols, fire codes, and emergency preparedness.
  • Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local safety and building regulations.
