What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor-Bereavement position at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System?
The Hospital Chaplain (Bereavement Counselor) is responsible for direct pastoral care for patients and families at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Acts as a support person for patients, caregivers, families and staff. Serves as part of an interdisciplinary team and serves as a liaison to patients and families that receive Palliative Care services at Restorative Care. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate.
Education
- Masters Degree from an accredited seminary required
Experience
- Minimum of four units clinical pastoral education required
- Minimum of 2 years ministerial experience required
License/Registration/Certifications
- Board Certification or eligible for Board Certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains preferred
