Advertised Job Summary
Visit and participate in on and off campus recruiting events to make contact with potential students. Register and attend all CACRAO recruiting events in the assigned territory. Regularly visit local high schools for college application days and lunch recruiting sessions. Provide counseling throughout the recruiting, admissions, and registration process. Collect and input student data in the Target X (Salesforce) student recruiting software program. Monitor progress of potential students and maintain contact and relationships with potential students throughout the recruiting process. Monitor student progress through each stage of the recruitment process beginning with initial contact through registration at USC Union. Develop and order marketing, recruiting, and admissions brochures and other recruiting materials for the admissions office using the USC Print Services Office for assistance. Use up to date information about current USC Union academic and sports programs to use in recruiting materials to accurately portray that information to potential students. Order promotional items and materials for use in recruiting potential students.
Process admissions applications in Banner as needed. Assist incoming students at orientation and registration with setting up Self-Service Carolina accounts, Blackboard accounts, DUO Mobile security accounts, and navigating Self-Service Carolina to register for classes, pay bills, and accept financial aid awards.Assist with special campus events as needed and assist with the USC Union Dual Enrollment programs as necessary.
Process admissions applications in Banner as needed. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in student recruitment, public relations, or working with students in a high school or college setting is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and execute clear objectives. Strong oral and written communication skills, adaptable to a wide variety of audience. Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team. Ability to analyze information and exercise sound judgement in making decisions. Willingness to travel and be available for some evening and weekend work.
