JOB SUMMARY
Spartanburg SCHEDL Automotive System Service LP is looking for a Production Manager. This role will be responsible for production while ensuring company goals are achieved. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define production objectives to meet business plans, capacity, headcount targets, and KPI's.
- Responsible for production operations across several teams, including production assembly, and future projects.
- Ensure optimal use of resources and adherence to best safety practices.
- Conduct ongoing analysis and prepare reports on projects and process improvements.
- Interact with quality team to correct, contain, and resolve quality concerns.
- Make countermeasures for timely completion of project goals.
- Coordinate with supplier and cross functional teams to improve and meet goals.
- Ensure consistency in standards of documentation for compliance.
- Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives.
- Enforce proper material management procedures.
- Build a strong, motivated team capable of consistently delivering high-quality performance.
- Ensure sufficient coverage of competent, trained staff to support production targets.
- Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountability.
- Empower the production team to collaborate with maintenance to improve product quality, product manufacturability and line productivity.
- Identify opportunities to qualify products and processes efficiently and effectively, constantly looking for improvements.
- Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Build a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high quality products.
- Ensure production teams receive effective training and workforce development.
- Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- BS/MS in Business or Engineering.
- 5 years of leadership experience in high-volume manufacturing within the automotive industry.
- Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs).
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
- Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills.
- Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to work well under extreme pressure while managing competing demands and deadlines.
- Fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience working with various Warehouse Management Systems or other similar operating systems.
- A strong sense of urgency while ensuring quality output is priority.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
