Shipping Coordinator (Night Shift)

4x 10 hour shifts (rotating days), 7:30pm-6:00am, overtime as needed

• Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday
• Sunday-Wednesday
• Tuesday-Friday

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Highbay troubleshooting and preventive steps to keep machinery working
• Manage, oversee, and direct all shipping activities
• Ensure the timely, accurate shipment of finished goods
• Verify all shipments, scheduled and re-order
• Process and plan any missing material to prevent any dummy set from shipping to the customer
• Process and ship re-orders as necessary
• Ensure that all shipping team members are following the customer’s approved work instructions
• Ensure the proper training and supervision of shipping team members
• Train new personnel on company standards, procedures, safety and plant equipment
• Evaluate staff performance and organize training
• Ensure that work environment is maintained clean, safe and organized
• Responsible for the cleanness of shipping area, including outside dock areas
• Ensure employees wear the required safety personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to the safety rules and regulation
• Conduct other tasks and liaison as directed by the Logistics Manager
• Responsible for recommending performance based disciplinary action of shipping team members to management
• Discipline production team members pursuant to the progressive discipline process set forth in the Employee Handbook

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Experience in the Automotive Industry or solid experience in a Manufacturing Industry
• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills via email, phone, and personal contact with all levels of the organization
• Must have working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• High School Diploma
• Ability to work overtime including weekends as required
• Ability to work any shift as required
• Must be able to consistently lift up to 75 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time
