We operate in a fully air-conditioned facility, daytime shifts Monday-Thursday ("4/10" schedule) with some overtime on Fridays and/or Saturdays. We currently have an opening for Materials Handler, this position's focus is on the stock rooms & inventory, it requires movement around the facility, moving and stocking inventory and using computers on a daily basis.

Primary or Major Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all assignments are performed in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized. Forklift operators must successfully complete a forklift safety program and obtain certification
• Responsible for some or all of the following: receiving, storing, routing, issuing, and shipping of materials and supplies.
• In receiving area- Communicate with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Will maintain liaison with purchasing, planning, production, and other departments as required in the receipt, issuance and shipment of all products.
• In the bulk warehouse and receiving area- May operate forklift, tier lift truck, and/or hand truck. May also load/unload trucks.
• In kit pull area Supply, maintain and verify information against various records and compile reports. May also perform root cause analysis.
• In cycle count area- Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
• In stock window area- Requisition articles to fill incoming orders and cut stock to size to fill order. Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.
• In the shipping area- Responsible for invoicing, packing and shipping finished goods.
• Will be required to use computers and other job-related computer equipment. May also maintain machines and equipment used in the assigned function.
• Must be able to complete basic transactions in WIP
• Able to read and then work from written processes and instructions
• Initiate and maintain accurate paperwork and records as required by job
• Responsible for daily cleanup of all assigned work areas.
• May interact with multiple computer programs to enter/extract data.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• We are an ITAR Controlled Facility, All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• Ability to work overtime as business needs may require.
• High school graduate or equivalent strongly preferred.
• General work order knowledge will be preferred.
• Basic computer, software, data entry/search skills required.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide numbers using calculators and to measure using gauges, rulers, and scales.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Must maintain certification to ESD Precautions Standards as required by facility.
• Physical Requirements: Able to frequently lift or exert 5-20lbs of force, regularly lift or exert up to 25lbs and occasionally lift or exert up to 50lbs. Frequent standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, using hand tools, reading documents and computer monitors.

It is understood that certain minimum requirements are not tested for but monitored for competent capability during the employee’s indoctrination period.
