Summary/Objective?

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst for a short-term contract focused on our time tracking systems and integration with DSL. The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of accounting/finance to effectively support this effort.

A successful candidate for this role will have experience in business requirements analysis and definition with a focus on optimizing and aligning people, processes, and technology, to drive operational efficiency and support business growth. The Business Analyst is responsible for translating business requirements into technology requirements, working closely with business teams, IT solutions architects as well as IT delivery teams to design, develop, and deploy solutions. The Business Analyst wears many hats on projects and is responsible for everything from requirements gathering, testing, training, and post deployment support. Other desirable traits include the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, trustworthiness, attentiveness, and adaptability to a changing environment. It helps to think creatively about what needs to be done and how to get there, taking the lead on tasks that others might not even have thought about yet.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Short-Term hourly Contract position. Duration: 2-6 months Hours will vary based on managing your team and meeting client expectations. This position will have a hybrid work schedule and will be in the office three days per week after the initial training period.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum of three years of experience in business analysis or a related field.

• Experience with business requirements analysis and process optimization.

• Knowledge of accounting/finance, particularly as it relates to time tracking and systems integration.

• Strong understanding of business practices and project management methodologies.

• Experience working in Waterfall, Agile Scrum, or Kanban methodologies is a plus.

• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive the determination of acceptable solutions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Visio, Project).

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification is preferred but not required.

Requirements: Other stuff we like:

• Bachelor’s degree with major course work in business, information systems or related fields.
• Minimum of three years’ prior experience in field or related area.
• Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology.
• Knowledge of outsourced field and professional services for the gas and electric utility industry.?
• The ability to influence stakeholders and drive the determination of acceptable solutions.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience working in Waterfall, Agile Scrum, or Kanban methodologies ERP system
• Track record of following through on commitments.
• History of leading and supporting successful projects.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products (e.g. Excel, Visio, Project, etc.).
• Certified business analysis professional preferred

Compensation
Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $60.00 (based on experience)
