A highly skilled Drafter/Spooler is required to lead the coordination effort for company projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of job specifications, schedules, and construction sequencing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Drafter/Spoolers as needed and attend coordination meetings.
- Label and dimension drawings, print them out, and place Trimble points.
- Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining equipment and fittings libraries for CADD systems.
- Maintain and file sketches and drawings by name-number location.
- Provide detailed shop drawings for duct and piping projects within specified time frames.
- Create piping assembly drawings for Pipe Fab Shop, Sheet Metal Shop, and/or Prefabrication Shops.
- Stay up-to-date on mechanical installations relevant to CADD systems.
- Design final sketches, checking dimensions, materials, and relationships between parts.
- Apply knowledge of machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Make necessary adjustments or changes.
- Create statistical data charts and finished designs from sketches.
- Use computer-assisted drafting and design (CADD) equipment and software - Revit, AutoCAD MEP.
Requirements:
- Three years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
