What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEASONAL FABRICATION SHOP DRIVER - FLORENCE position at SPC Mechanical?
This is a seasonal position with an anticipated duration of approximately two (2) months. However, the exact timeframe is subject to business needs and may be extended or concluded earlier based on workload and operational requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
- Load, secure, and transport materials from the Pre-Fab facility to job sites, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or loss.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any vehicle maintenance needs.
- Verify load accuracy and ensure all required shipping and delivery documents are completed and handed off appropriately.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel regarding deliveries.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed for loading and unloading.
- Keep assigned vehicle clean and in proper working condition.
- Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory control and material organization.
- Transport company fleet vehicles to and from service and repair facilities as directed.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to safeguard materials and equipment.
