Our client is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a direct-hire position available in their Addison, TX office. Comes with an uncapped bonus. This role requires demonstrated technical proficiency in implementing automation solutions using PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/DeltaV platforms. The engineer will work directly with customers and lead a team in identifying requirements, developing specifications, and implementing/testing/commissioning automation solutions.
This leadership role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and an interest in fostering business partnerships. The Controls Engineer will contribute to securing repeat work with both new and existing customers.

Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative automation solutions and design standards, either independently or as a leader of a team.
- Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes, including system architecture, component selection, schematic diagrams, system documentation, and programming controllers (PLC, DCS/DeltaV).
- Program process-visualizations (HMI/SCADA) and develop databases for archiving/displaying historical system data.
- Design and implement industrial networking systems (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
- Lead project management tasks such as project execution plans, scheduling, budgeting, conflict resolution, team leadership, and ensuring project profitability.
- Act as technical lead on projects and mentor lower-level engineers and technicians. May also manage smaller projects.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of experience in control system implementation with knowledge in:
- Emerson DeltaV platform.
- PLC hardware/software platforms (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon).
- HMI/SCADA platforms (Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk, Aveva System Platform, Inductive Automation Ignition, GE iFIX, Siemens Winn CC, TI Portal).
- Experience in industries like Semiconductors, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Water Treatment, and General Manufacturing.
- Electrical schematics and control panels, including power distribution under 480VAC.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Leading teams and mentoring engineers.
- Project Management experience with PMP certification is a plus.
- Understanding of Batch/Recipes, OEE, MES, and ERP systems.
