Success Factors:
- Administer all leaves timely and compliance with all regulatory guidelines. Inform team members requesting leave of their leave options within 5 business days
- Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate pay on weekly and biweekly payroll based on approved leave schedules
- Monitor Monthly Benefit Enrollments so that elections are made timely, and coverage is in effect by the team member’s eligibility date
- Excellent communication as evidence by responding to all inquiries and requests within 24 hours, providing clear information for a first call / email resolution and always exercising a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
- Focus on Accuracy: ensuring data integrity and minimizing errors
- Focus on Compliance: good record-keeping and adherence to all relevant regulations and policies in the administration of employee leaves and benefits
- Minimum of one year’s experience in benefit related role and Associate’s degree
- Proficient with MS Office suite, specifically Excel
- Experience working with an HRIS or EMR platform a plus
- Knowledge of state and federal employee benefits and leave laws (HIPPA, COBRA, STD/FMLA/LTD, ADA, W/C, OSHA, ERISA as well as tax rules for FSA and HSA plans
- High level of attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and managing multiple timelines as once
- Proven ability to work with highly confidential material and prioritize varying responsibilities, effective written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration Leave of Absence policies, STD/FMLA and LTD policies and practices within federal and state regulations and reviews requested leaves of absence in partnership with Clinic Directors, Head of HR and other team members
- Assists with day-to-day benefit program administration: communication, enrollment (New Hire, Live Events and annual Open Enrollment), processing of benefit change activities, and partnering with internal/external business partners to troubleshoot and resolve issues, both system and process related.
- Support administration of worker’s compensation policies and all claims by regularly follows-up on active claims.
- Assists with the design and communication of annual benefit enrollment materials.
- Assists with employee benefits data auditing and reporting
- Ensure that company procedures and policies are communicated and federal and state required postings are kept up to date.
- Primary contact for leave and benefit-related questions.
- Assists with Leave & Benefit audits and other audits, prepares special reports as needed.
