We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager for a full time employee position for our client in Cypress, CA. The pay is based on experience. 5 years of purchasing experience, especially in the shipping and warehouse industry, is preferred.
The Purchasing Manager will oversee the purchasing and procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for the company's daily operations.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the sourcing and purchasing of materials and products core to the shipping and warehouse services
- Improving procurement strategies to optimize costs, maintain quality standards, and mitigate supply chain risks
- Identify and evaluate existing and potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish mutually beneficial relationships
- Lead inventory management, analyze demand patterns, and forecast future needs to avoid shortages or excesses
- Work closely with finance and management to stay within the department budget and help to forecast future budget needs
