A Home Infusion Controller would likely be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a home infusion therapy business or department within a healthcare organization. They play a crucial role in optimizing resource utilization, enhancing patient care, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Management :
- Develop and manage budgets for the home infusion program, including staffing, supplies, medication costs, and other operational expenses.
- Supervise payroll and employee benefit activity and reporting
- Analyze revenue, monitor accounts receivable, track billing trends and collection efforts, coordinate with billing services provider and investigate variances
- Monitor purchasing and expense transactions and vendor activity; evaluate pricing contracts and agreements
- Perform month-end and year-end close-out procedures and preparing journal entries for accounting system; reconciling intercompany transactions, analyzing variances in trends, advising and consulting with owners on significant financial aspects
- Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs related to infusion therapy delivery.
- Oversee billing and collections processes to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.
- Prepare regular financial reports to track program performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations related to home infusion therapy, including medication handling, storage, and administration.
Skills and Qualifications :
Experience with healthcare information systems, Accounting and financial applications , and other relevant software applications
