Your Role
The People Operations Generalist will serve as a frontline resource for employees, helping them navigate the employee experience with confidence and clarity. You’ll play a key role in responding to questions about policies, benefits, and systems, while supporting smooth onboarding, offboarding, and compliance practices. This role also provides hands-on HR support for our SAS Flight Factory manufacturing location, ensuring employees there feel equally supported and connected to the broader SAS team.
As a People Operations Generalist, you will:
- Be the First HR Point of Contact – Respond to employee questions about policies, procedures, benefits, and HR systems in a timely and helpful manner.
- Facilitate Onboarding & Offboarding – Support the onboarding process for new hires and coordinate offboarding tasks for departing employees, ensuring a positive experience on both ends.
- Maintain HR Systems & Records – Ensure accurate and current employee data in company HR systems, supporting reporting, audits, and compliance.
- Support SAS Flight Factory – Act as the go-to HR contact for our manufacturing site, fostering trust, visibility, and strong employee relations on the floor.
- Drive Engagement & Culture – Help plan and execute employee engagement activities, communications, and events that build a sense of community and connection.
- Ensure Compliance & Verifications – Handle employment verifications and help maintain compliance with internal policies, labor laws, and documentation requirements.
- Assist with HR Policy & Change Management – Provide input on policy development and help implement and communicate changes across the company.
- Promote a Positive Work Environment – Build genuine relationships with employees, supporting an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
Required Experiences and Competencies:
To qualify for this role candidates must have the following:
- Four (4) years of experience in People Operations / Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong service mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
- Prior experience supporting a manufacturing or multi-site workforce is beneficial
- High attention to detail and time management
How You Will Be Rewarded:
SAS provides a total rewards approach to compensation, providing incentives and benefits far beyond base salary.
The annual salary for this role depends on the candidate’s work experience, education/training, and related skills, but the range for this position is expected to fall between $60,000 – $85,000 per year.
