As the People Operations Generalist (POG), at Western Veterinary Partners, you will serve as the day-to-day contact for the administration of full life cycle People Operations support. Partnering with the People Operations Team, this position will support various activities to include Change management, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and leaves of absence. This position will be a key contributor of our organizational goals and people strategy to provide our team with prompt and best in class support. To Thrive in this position candidates should be able to:
- Support the “New Hire Experience” through the facilitation of new hire on-boarding and assist with administrative functions as necessary.
- Serve as a key resource in the onboarding and integration of new Team Members to the organization.
- Contribute and serve as point of contact for onboarding, I9 verifications and auditing, personnel files, and building foundational relationships with new hires.
- Be a chaperone of benefits administration to managers and staff which includes enrollment assistance and responding to basic benefits-related questions.
- This position will be responsible for providing basic employee relations support and escalate to the People Operation Partners as needed.
- Primarily responsible for the administration, coordination of all leave of absence activities including serving as the liaison with our leave of absence vendor.
- Assist with the construction of important policies, procedures, and support initiatives for policy implementation.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports including headcount, turnover, leave of absence, compliance, and others as assigned.
- Support the People Operations department’s shared email inboxes to provide support and response then delegate as needed.
- Complete daily People Operations mail sorting and respond to data requests such as wage requests and worker’s compensation.
- Operating daily within ADP Workforce Now to monitor, measure, and maintain People Operations related information and activities.
- Support the validation of compliance with Federal, State and other Local regulations.
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
- A high level of customer service energy.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar.
- 4 years of HR Generalist experience.
- Experience with a multi-state, multi-entity, private equity, growth organization strongly preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR or the ability and willingness to work toward this goal, preferred.
- Effective, clear, and persuasive oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized, accurate, thorough; ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the company.
- Demonstrates a positive, Team-oriented attitude; must possess the ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
- Self-directed, highly organized and can easily navigate ambiguity and create order.
- Candidate must reside in the Denver metro area (hybrid 2 days in office required).
