Job Type Description
Successful applicants will provide speech/language services to students in locations to be determined, along with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Salary Schedule
Berkeley County Schools Teacher Pay Scale based upon verified degree level and verified years of experience. Plus index and ASHA certification stipend. 200-day employment term.
Qualification Requirements
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and demonstrate the knowledge and ability to be a qualified and effective candidate for the vacancy.
Master's degree and holds or can obtain West Virginia Department of Education student support license as a speech/language pathologist for grades PreK-12. This is a separate license and in addition to ASHA and WV Board of Examiners.
Additional Job Information
The possession of an out-of-state license in speech language issued by the appropriate department of education licensing body may be considered for reciprocity.
Licensure can be reviewed if the state a program was completed in does not have a department of education speech pathology certification requirement.
A Speech Asst. will be considered for this position if a certified Speech Path. does not apply.
