REQUIREMENTS:
-High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Three years experience in facility maintenance.
- A working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning/heating, communication systems, and vehicle maintenance. Technical training helpful.
-Physical ability to handle lifting and carrying weight for short distances. Job requires the ability to perform task in physically demanding conditions. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 lbs. with assistance
-Ability to remain calm and positive during stressful situations.
-Must have a clean driving record and documented automobile insurance as required by state law. Job requires the ability to provide transportation to participants as needed.
-Ability to research cost effective maintenance solutions.
-A positive attitude toward people with disabilities.
FUNCTION:
-The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the general and specific maintenance and repair of the facility, grounds, and vehicles. He/She will assist the Executive Director in planning the maintenance operations for S.E.D. #1.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintenance Supervisor will be knowledgeable with S.E.D. #1 policies and procedures as set forth in the S.E.D. #1 Policy Manual and S.E.D. #1 Handbook.
2. Plan, organize, and supervise maintenance operations in accordance with policies and procedures as outlined in the S.E.D. #1 Policy Manual and S.E.D. #1 Handbook.
3. Accept and carry out directions from the Executive Director in a professional and timely manner.
4. Research and coordinate cost effective means for repairing the physical plant, equipment, plant contents, and motor vehicles.
5. Prioritize and carry out work orders in a timely manner.
6. Develop and implement a maintenance/repair plan for the facility, grounds, equipment and vehicles.
7. Coordinate repair of facility systems with contractors as needed.
8. Conduct inspections with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
9. Purchase supplies and parts as needed.
10. See that the physical plant is secured at the end of each day’s schedule.
11. Assist in providing a safe and healthy working environment for S.E.D. #1 staff and training participants.
12. Adhere to confidentiality policies concerning participants, families, and co-workers.
13. Provide instructions to staff assigned and assist staff in their development and performance of job duties.
14. Effectively communicate as needed with:

15. Design and maintain an annual property accounting system.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Promote the agency and its mission in providing services and supports to people with disabilities.
2. Attend training sessions and acquire certifications as needed.
3. Actively participate in planning sessions.
4. Maintain punctuality and attend work the required number of days.
5. Maintain flexibility and accept new job duties as assigned.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
