Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Process Coordinator / School Psych Examiner to oversee Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) through 3rd grade. This role is responsible for coordinating special education evaluation
processes, conducting psychological assessments, and ensuring compliance with educational regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in evaluating and interpreting assessment data , and a passion for supporting young learners' academic, behavioral, and developmental success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Certification/licensure as a School Psych Examiner (as required by state regulations).
- Experience in special education assessment and compliance procedures.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to interpret assessment data and apply findings to student support plans.
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and other relevant special education laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school setting.
- Familiarity with various assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Experience facilitating IEP meetings and working with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the special education evaluation process while assisting in the development of IEPs for students in ECSE through 3rd grade.
- Conduct and interpret psychological assessments for students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other stakeholders to develop appropriate student support plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations related to special education services.
- Facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and ensure accurate documentation.
- Provide guidance on intervention strategies and accommodations for students.
- Support professional development initiatives for staff regarding assessment and special education processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
