What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR (Position is open to FUESD EMPLOYEES only) position at SPECIAL EDUCATION?
Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is accepting applications for a Speech Therapist for the 2025 Extended School Year (ESY) Special Education Program. The recruitment is open to current FUESD contracted Speech Therapists. Staff will be selected based on program needs and their daily availability to work the duration of the assignment.
DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION:
OPEN TO INTERNAL CURRENT FUESD EMPLOYEES ONLY
- APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 11, 2025 - 4:00 p.m.
- LENGTH OF WORK PERIOD: 1 Mandatory Staff Meeting/Prep Day on Monday, June 2, 2025, and 19 Instructional Days: Monday-Friday beginning Tuesday, June 3, 2025 - June 30, 2025- Except for 6/19- it is a non-work day.
- WORK SITES: Fallbrook Stem Academy, Maie Ellis Elementary, San Onofre, Mike Choate Center
- WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 5.0 hours/day, 7:40 am - 12:40 pm. Time varies per
site. - SALARY: 1 Staff Meeting/Prep Day paid at $61.00/hourly rate, 19 instructional days at
$305.00 per day (based on 5.0 hours/day). - REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Current/valid Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential w/Language, Speech, and Hearing. Staff will be selected based on program needs. Previous experience in ESY is preferred. Priority will be given to employees working all days of the ESY summer program.
- EXPECTATIONS: To provide a schedule that incorporates the design elements of course descriptions for the assigned classes; to be in attendance and on time for the duration of the program; to provide small group, large group, and one-on-one instruction; to maintain an environment conducive to learning with clear rules, expectations and consequences for inappropriate behavior; to perform all duty assignments as requested; to perform appropriate documentation on student progress, including pre/post assessments, as well as fill out progress reports with proper documentation.
