What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Supervisor position at Special Events at the Georges?
Event Supervisor
- Manage all event staff, head bartender, and banquet captains (including scheduling, hiring, training, and reviews)
- Hold monthly one-on-ones with banquet captains and bartenders
- Oversee day-of event operations (including client communication, front of house service, timeline, communication with banquet captains, lineup, rental coordination, etc.)
- Present at all events during the week or on weekends
- Process final bills on POS (invoicing) system
- Complete End of Event Report
- Maintain and drive high service standards
- Oversee set-up and clean up for all events
- Discuss event details with Chef during weekly BEO meetings
- Complete bar inventory and submit for purchasing
- Take lead on coordinating and publicizing public & community events to activate revenue
- Coordinate with front desk Akia (our texting service) communication for events department
- Coordinate company and employee appreciation events
- Manage inventory and organizing of private event equipment
- Meet with Catering and Events Sales Manager weekly
- Support Catering and Events Sales Manager and Events Department as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
