Job Description
We are seeking an Events Intern to join our Marketing team. As an ideal candidate, you will have a passion for event planning, excellent communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach. You will be responsible for coordinating onsite visits, including factory tours, training sessions, meals, lodging, and offsite social events for architects, sales reps, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, catering, transportation, and accommodations.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on planning quarterly sales rep advisory council meetings, including meeting space setup, meals, lodging, and activities.
- Support the planning of internal company events, such as board meetings and company picnics.
- Assist with scheduling and logistics for events hosted at our training center, conference rooms, or offsite facilities.
- Coordinate product displays and logistics for national trade shows.
- Support regional trade shows by providing materials, coordinating with sales reps, and tracking event needs.
- Assist with execution of events as needed, including set-up and tear-down, food delivery.
- Capture and organize event-related media, such as photos and videos, for marketing purposes.
- Research industry trends and best practices in corporate events and recommend ideas to enhance the attendee experience.
- Assist in developing event reports to evaluate success and provide actionable insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), space planning, and event management tools.
- Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Able to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with event planning, logistics, or hospitality is preferred.
