Position Summary: Cleaning production areas and support for Maintenance Department.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Empty and take out all production trash to trash compactor
- Cardboard to Baler (change out baler when required)
- Styrofoam recycling
- Make boxes for trash in Shop Departments if needed
- Empty paper recycling bin
- Empty aluminum scrap hoppers
- Sweep/vac aisleways in plant
- Order and put away janitorial supplies
- Outside trash cans and pick up debris around buildings/outside
- Empty all aerosol cans and recycle
- Assist with event (meeting/lunch) set-ups: drink selection/set-up, trash, etc.
- Assist maintenance staff on projects
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Knowledge of workplace safety; including safe lifting procedures and using various cleaning supplies.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions in written and oral form.
- Ability to pass forklift training/testing
Primary Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Required to stand and walk.
- Frequently required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 70 lbs.
- Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 70 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required Safety Equipment:
- Safety glasses are always required on the production floor.
- Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
