Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Human Resources Coordinator to join our Charlotte team. The successful candidate will be able to:
Supervise the Human Resources Department on all matters including Employee relations, HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Engagement, etc.…
Supervise Onboarding Process, Training, and Development.
E-Verify, Employee Files, and Navigator Benefits Website.
Directs and oversees the day-to-day activities of the HR office Staff. Ensure each HR staff member clearly understands what are they accountable for and that staff is held accountable when responsibilities aren’t met. (Might include but not limited to attendance and payroll functions)
Works closely with all levels of operations and other departments to ensure that their needs are met on all Human Resources matters.
Assists in organizing employee communication and ensures that this is taking place. Examples include flyers, bulletin boards, birthday gift cards, employee reviews, and appropriate follow-ups.
Has a good working knowledge of all HR systems, Quick Books, and Wasp Time Clock and ensures that backups are cross-trained on all systems.
Understand the Human Resources structure of SSFC, what resources are available, and where to get help on specific issues. Assist with drafting SOP for HR positions and other open roles in the Company.
Responsible for outside employment verifications.
Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Vice-President of Accounting and HR.
This position reports to the Vice-President of Accounting and HR.
Working Conditions: General office environment with occasional duties in the warehouse environment. Should be prepared on a daily basis to work in the warehouse environment, cold/heat, etc.…
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalency required
Experience: Preferable 4 years of experience in the Cartage industry (with 2 in Human Resources) or a similar HR position within another industry.
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
Must possess knowledge and ability to work in all Microsoft Office-related products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to become proficient in QuickBooks and Wasp Time Card.
Must be highly self-motivated, be able to make decisions, fix problems as they arise, and work with little supervision or direction on daily accountabilities.
Must understand the fundamentals of the business that we are in how HR fits into that and why we matter to the operation.
